The petroleum tankers drivers (PTD) an arm of the Nigerian union of petroleum and national gas workers has commenced the proposal warning strike today to press their demands to the Federal Government and other stake holders on unresolved issue on the welfare of workers and bad roads.
Other demands of the petroleum tankers drivers are speedy passage of the petroleum bill to tackle corruption, commercialization of NNPC refineries turnaround.
The drivers decry refusal of NARTO to negotiate with NUPENG on expired collective agreement on drivers working conditions.
The president, NUPENG Mr Igwe Achese on Friday stated this at the end of the central working comitee meeting held at the unions secretariat Lagos.
The PTD, NARTO will hold a meeting by 3pm today to deliberate on the way out.
